Keep Saturday the 14th November free in your diary as Andrew will be holding his annual exhibition in Guisborough, North Yorkshire. For one day only you will have the opportunity to see (and perhaps purchase) over 30 original paintings, like this elegant spoonbill (left). As ever, there will also be a wide range of prints and cards on sale.

In times past we gave some of our wildlife fantastical names: the “goatsucker”: the rare and elusive night-flying bird, the nightjar; the “nadder”: now better known to us as the venomous but beautiful adder. As the title suggests nature comes in many shapes and forms and this exhibition will celebrate it in its infinite variety: from paintings that represent the everyday nature we can all see around us to those that delve into the more weird and wonderful! A chance to see Andrew's more unusual artwork as well as to purchase some of his limited edition prints. Limited edition print of Wood Mouse and Matchbox £14.00  Find out more about your favourite artist by reading journalist Andrew Gallon's in-depth interview with Andrew Hutchinson in the November issue of the "Dalesman" magazine (in the shops now). Read about how Andrew got into painting, his loves and influences and what inspires him to pick up that paintbrush. And if you like what you read then why not come along to Sunnyfield House, Guisborough on Saturday 15th November and meet him in person. His one-day exhibition will feature over 30 new original paintings as well as limited edition prints and cards. It is open from 10.00a.m. - 4.00 p.m. and entry is free.
 Working on a considerably smaller scale than usual, Andrew has scooped two top prizes at this year's Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers annual exhibition, currently on show at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London. Each of his five paintings is smaller than 3" square and he was delighted to find that not only did he win the "First Time Exhibitor Award" but that all the paintings together won the "Royal Miniature Society Group Award" and a prize of £500.
If you want to see the Society's exhibition, you'll have to hurry as it only runs until 1.00 p.m Sunday 26th October but remember, to see more of Andrew's work, large and small, his annual exhibition will be held (for one day only) nearer his North Yorkshire home at Sunnyfield House, Westgate, Guisborough on Saturday 15th November (10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.) and entry is free.  Once again, Sunnyfield House, Guisborough (SatNav: TS14 6BA) will be the venue for Andrew's annual exhibition.
For one day only, Saturday 15th November 2014, he will be returning to his home town and showing over 30 new original paintings painted within the last twelve months. As ever, there will also be a wide selection of limited edition prints and cards on sale. Doors open at 10.00 a.m. and will stay open until 4.00 p.m. Entry is free. |
